- Medieval Dublin Dublin's development up to the end of the 17th century.

- The Gardiners were responsible for a large estate on the northside of the city.
- The Fitzwilliam Estates were responsible for developing much of the Georgian city on the south city of the Liffey.
- The 19th century was a period of stagnation in the development of the city with the loss of administrative powers to London.
- The Abercrombie report laid down guidelines for the redevelopment of the city in the early 20th century.
- Temple Bar Properties was a semi-state body set up to rejuvenate the Temple Bar area of the city in the 1980s.
- O'Connell Street - area integration and development plan 1998 to upgrade the street and its environs
